LGPC Rocks My World!!

I got a lot of stuff going on in my life right now.
End of year is always a crazy time for business. Babies and retirements and health issues have a way of surprising everyone involved so we often get last minute calls to help out.
And then there’s the holiday string of events this time of year.
And raising my own daughter.
And running the house. And the van needs an oil change. And my yard looks like a depository for every dead leaf Portland didn’t know what to do with…
Oh, and did I mention I’m going to Bosnia this June? And still trying to pay for it?
But a funny thing happens when you spend part of every day yakking it up with Jesus. Every now and then, he answers back, catching you totally off guard.

Drumroll, please…

Well, its official: we’re going to Mostar! As a direct result of the truly overwhelming financial support of our families, friends, and colleagues, we have determined that this trip is once again financially viable. Boo-ya! We have currently raised $6000 toward our $8000 fundraising goal and feel confident that we can raise that last 2k before our December 15th deadline. Please continue to donate and to spread the word about our trip. The sooner we reach that goal, the sooner we can get back to the business of planning this thing and focusing on the needs of the families we’ll be working with.

We Are Humbled

It takes a significant feat to silence a group of SLPs, but we’re darn near speechless as we reflect on the fundraising flurry of the last week. The dream that was in danger a week ago now has new life. The financial contributions of our friends and family have given us hope, and I, for one, feel cautiously optimistic that we really might be able to do this thing.
